Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by

That the Cabinet Member for Finance & Transformation
formally approved writing off £536,961.07 in respect of
individual irrecoverable corporate debts as set out in
the report.
Reason for decision There is no possibility of recovering the debts for the
reasons stated, and it would be uneconomical to undertake
further action. The Cabinet Member is authorised
constitutionally to write-off debt on individual cases between
£5k and £50k.
Alternative options
considered and rejected
In each debt case, write off is the last resort option and it is
felt there is no prospect of recovering these debts. All
possible alternative recovery action is attempted by the
service area in accordance with the legislation that the debt
type falls within. Further recovery attempts and therefore
leaving the debt

it involves the disclosure of information in accordance with
Section 100(A) and paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12
(A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that

information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.

However, this is subject to the decision not being called in by
Councillors on the relevant Select Committee. Upon receipt of a
valid call-in request, Democratic Services will immediately advise
the relevant officer(s) and the decision must then be put on hold.
