The Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing and Growth:
1. Noted the application for a disabled parking bay in
Standale Grove, Ruislip;
2. Considered the objections to the proposed
disabled persons’ parking bay on Standale Grove,
Ruislip; and
3. Approved the installation of the proposed disabled
persons’ parking bay on Standale Grove, Ruislip.
Reason for decision The introduction of a formal disabled parking bay is intended to
improve accessibility for disabled residents and visitors by
designating a dedicated parking space for Blue Badge holders.
This will help ensure that people with mobility difficulties are able
to park close to their homes or local facilities, supporting their
independence and promoting inclusion within the community.
The proposal also reflects the Council’s ongoing commitment to
meeting its responsibilities under equalities legislation and to
reducing barriers faced by disabled people in everyday life.
Alternative options
considered and
rejected
The alternative option would be for the Council not to proceed
with the installation of the proposed disabled persons’ parking
bay on Standale Grove, Ruislip. This was not recommended as

it would mean that disabled residents and visitors may continue
to experience difficulties in finding suitable and accessible
parking
