Decision made
Cabinet Members making
the decision
Councillor Steve Tuckwell, Leader of the Council
Councillor Nick Denys, Cabinet Member for Planning,
Housing & Property
Councillor Eddie Lavery, Cabinet Member for Finance
Councillor Susan O’Brien, Cabinet Member for Children,
Families, Health & Care
Decision Agreed
The Leader of the Council, in consultation with Cabinet
Members:
1. Approved the appointment of CWG Group Ltd as
the principal contractor to undertake roofing
works at West Drayton Academy; and
2. Agreed the capital release to fund the roofing
works at West Drayton Academy from the School
Conditions Building Programme budget for
2026/27 as set out within the confidential report.
Reason for decision The works ensure the school remains fully operational for its
users. Ongoing roof defects, persistent leaks, condition
surveys and recent repair attempts have identified
significant issues at West Drayton Academy. Several roofs,
including those on newer parts of the building, have reached
the end of their serviceable life, and temporary repairs are
no longer effective, requiring comprehensive replacement.
